"The things you find on 500px.com"

This portrait isn't perfect, but I still like it very much. The original picture is a photo by Konstantin Kryukovskiy which I have found on 500px.com. There was something about the look in her eyes that intrigued me and so I've decided to try paint her portrait. And I think I've succeeded. In particular I've succeeded in capturing that look of slight surprise and innocence. Oh, and if you're questioning why I didn't made the background same as it is on the photo, it's because I couldn't do it sufficiently well at that point and the hair looked unnatural with the background behind. When I was creating this portfolio I came across this long forgotten painting and I think I may come back to it again and try to finish it some day...
